How to upgrade from previous versions

To upgrade from previous versions of Claro, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Check your license status
  2. Make a backup of the current installation folder
  3. Run the v11 installer
  4. Test
  5. Adjust settings

In more detail:

1.- Check your license status

To check your license status, please click on the credit card icon on the top right side of the Claro user-interface. Login with your Claro license account. If you have forgotten your password, you can fill in the email address of the account and click on the icon next to the password field. A new password will be sent to the email address of the account, you can change the password again after logging in. If you have forgotten the email address of the account, contact [email protected]

In your license overview, you can check if your licenses are ready for v11. See screenshot:

2.- Make a backup of your current installation directory

The default installation directories are:

c:\program files\Elpical Claro for Windows installations,

/Applications/Elpical Claro for Mac OS X installations.

The upgrade will keep all of your settings, the backup is purely precautionary.

3.- Run the v11 installer

Install into the same directory as your current installation. Installation manual: https://e-learning.elpical.com/installation-2/.

4.- Test

Run some images to one of your channels to see if they process correctly.

5.- Adjust settings

In your existing flows, the new features will be disabled. To fully enjoy the benefits of v11, test with the new features enabled, or create test-flows in order to do the testing.
