How to install an HTML5 extension for Indesign CC or higher.
Since Indesign CC, it is possible to create HTML5 user-interfaces for plugins. Compared to the scripted interface of JobClient this has the advantage that the user-interface is more integrated into the Indesign panels.
To install extensions, you need the Adobe Extension Manager CC.
You also need to install JobClient first. (see Installation of JobClient).
After these two steps are completed, locate this file in your applications folder:
../Elpical Claro JobClient/Plugins/claroextension.zxp
Simply double-click this file to complete the installation.
The new user-interface is accessible in Indesign under Window > Extensions menu. The extension is simply called “claro”.
